Protecting Our Harbor

The jewel of our City is and will always be our Harbor.

Our iconic shots include the Beeks’ ferry, Duffy boat cruising, dock-side dining, the Balboa Pavilion, etc.

And its economic impact is estimated to exceed $200 Million to our City every year.

So it made sense when Duffy was our Mayor to create our City’s first Harbor Department to oversee this cultural and financial landmark.

Along with Duffy and Mayor Pro Tem Brad Avery, I co-wrote the ballot measure that will add our Harbor Commission to the City's Charter.  This is a group that has taken on enormous tasks, including re--writing our municipal code addressing the Harbor and setting us up for a new round of dredging.  They deserve our protection and I encourage you to vote for our ballot measure.

We remain devoted to our Harbor's water quality and upkeep so that we can all enjoy it for decades to come.
